Choose a quiet corner of the kitchen
A cool, dry cupboard away from the hob and direct sunlight is a useful place for tea. Keep it away from spices or other strong-smelling foods. Reseal the pouch carefully after taking out what you need.
Keep moisture out
Use a clean, dry spoon. Do not hold an open pouch over a steaming kettle. If you transfer the tea to a container, make sure it is dry and closes properly. Keep the label so you still have the batch and date information.
Follow the pack dates
Use the storage instructions and best-before date supplied with your tea. There is no single freshness period that fits every leaf, blend and storage condition. If you notice an unexpected smell or visible change, contact the seller before drinking it.
